Student Profile:Conduct disorders, depression, bi-polar disorder, attention deficit hyperactive disorder, substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder, psychotic disorders, children who have been sexually abused and/or are sexually reactive, learning disabilities with mild developmental delays.
Academics:A career-oriented curriculum of special education is individually structured for students in the middle and secondary schools
Counseling:Comprehensive evaluations of residents are provided to identify needs and to develop specifically tailored treatment plans. Long-term individual therapy and group therapy offer the resident consistency and socialization which is gradually internalized, reducing the likelihood of future institutionalization and enabling his reintegration into the larger community. Psychoactive medication is used as an adjunct to psych-otherapy when necessary. Psychological and neuro-psychological testing are offered when needed
Campus:Two dormitories and three houses provide a uniquely progressive pathway from closely supervised living in our In-Take dorm to independent, self-governing freedom in our houses.
Philosophy:To provide overall care of our residents in an atmosphere supported mutually by both staff and residents. As well as to encourages growth, creativity, and freedom within the confines of an open educa-tional and vocational setting.
