Student Profile:Difficulties at home or in school, exhibited self-destructive behavior or made unhealthy lifestyle choices
Academics:Upon admission, each boy's academic record is evaluated and an individualized academic plan is designed. These plans allow the boys to make up any missing credits, and provide continued instruction in subjects needed to graduate from high school. Courses at Bahia de Kino are offered through Keystone National High School, a fully accredited school in the United States. Students attend three to four hours of classes four times a week, and instruction is given on site. Each student's academic plan is closely monitored by our professional staff and may be adjusted to accommodate changing needs or goals.

Counseling:The Clinical Director, therapists and Life Coaches coordinate all Therapeutic interactions. Guided group interactions are regularly scheduled group meetings that assist students to recognize and change their negative behavior and thinking patterns. Individual counseling sessions address issues relevant to each student, such as day-to-day living problems, difficulties with parents or other family members, honesty, peer pressure, effective communication, coping skills and conflict resolution. Substance abuse counseling is provided to those boys with a history of drug or alcohol abuse.
Family Involvement:Strong family involvement in each student's treatment is absolutely essential from admissions through discharge

Staff:Professional staff who serve many roles: mentor, big brother or sister, teacher, friend, counselor and confidante. Each therapist possesses considerable expertise and compassion in working with young men, and is dedicated to making a positive difference in their lives.
