Providing the highest quality chemical dependency treatment
Reservations for admittance may be arranged through your local community drug and alcohol center, a chemical dependency professional, employment assistance program staff, or direct contact with Sundown M Ranch by phone, mail, or e-mail. The youth and a parent/guardian stay at Sundown during the first two days of treatment while all initial testing and treatment planning is concluded. This allows the family and youth to reach some stability, review ongoing treatment options, and make a fully informed decision with Sundown’s professional staff.

The school program comprised of a classroom, study hall and gymnasium plus staffing by certified teachers, is operated in conjunction with the Selah School District. This program can actually accommodate grades 4 through 12 and provides the student with individualized education, which includes classroom activities, monitored individual study in the library study hall carrels, and mentored tutorial. Patients will work on assignments from their home schools or complete a quarter credit cycle from the Selah School District. Patients may also receive a quarter health education credit for their chemical dependency coursework.
Walking and jogging. Gymnasium accommodates full-court basketball, volleyball, indoor jogging track, weight room and exercise equipment.
Each group is facilitated by two therapists who conduct groups 7 days a week.
Contemporary campus includes separate facilities for family treatment and a 60-bed Youth Facility that is entirely separate from the Adult Facility. Patient accommodations are comfortable, spacious and tastefully appointed; semi-private rooms with bath become welcoming havens for rest and contemplation during treatment. Patients and families enjoy good food in warm and comfortable dining rooms.Living accommodations are also gender-specific, with two separate wings: one male and the other female. Patient rooms are complete with an outside view, twin beds and full bath including tub and shower.
Family counseling is a vital component of treatment. Visitations are limited to Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays: 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Visitors are expected to sign in at the main office and to attend lectures and other activities that are scheduled for their benefit.

The Medical Director is at the Ranch one day per week. Dispensing of prescribed medications is under the direction of the Medical Director. Payment for any medical, dental, or prescription expenses incurred with outside health services during treatment is the responsibility of the patient.
